2016 Major League Lacrosse season
The 2016 Major League Lacrosse season will be the 16th season of Major League Lacrosse. The season will feature at least 9 teams (all in the United States) after the addition of the Atlanta Blaze via expansion.〔(Major League Lacrosse Announces Newest Expansion Team Atlanta Blaze )〕 It will be the first time since 2008 that the league has had more than eight teams, yet it is still unclear whether the season will be expanded.
